    i think i may be wanting to do a hilift kit for my surf after i have sorterd the dog van out
    i have a hi lift kit (well part of) think it is only shocks i need to get
    the kit so far consists of 3 bars and 2 springs
    what else is needed and where from and is the wheels that look chunky just diffrent tyres or the wheel diffrent also

      A bit more info would be helpful.
      Is your truck 2nd or 3rd gen. Manual or auto.
      How much lift in inches are you after .

            My money would be on the three bars being
            torsion bars x2
            panhard rod x1

            but could as easily be this

              right i have a gen 2 auto import k reg
              i dont know what the bars are as i aint a mechanic they were in the back of the surf when bought
              2 " lift i think would be nice i think

                Easy one then:

                Fit extended rear springs , wind from torsion bars up 2" . Voila 2" lift! When you said hilift kit I was thinking 4-6" lift.
                With 2" your standard shocks will do for now but won't have much upwards movement.

                  Or if you fit your uprated torsion bars you'll also get 2" lift without over stressing the standard bars.
