Ages ago I sponsored some lads who were going to the tip of Norway to seafish and raise funds for the RNLI and I was given 20 guesses in a competition they were running to give away fishing products donated by sponsors.

I guessed heaviest fish (an ounce out) and won a very nice waterproof fleece, thermal clothing and a 14ft beachcaster rod worth £100!

I usually win feck all, really chuffed.

I know nothing about beach casting. Probably sell it to first sensible offer, fly fishing for trout is my sport.

Mackerel/ Pollock feathers ...... it's good free food from the beach on holiday ..... keep it and have fun
