I have always been very suspicious of renewable energy supplies and have a hunch the bill for maintenance of wind turbines will be a nasty surprise to many.
But in terms of solar energy apparently last weekend half of Germany's electrical load was supplied by solar, equivalent to 20 odd nuclear power stations based on existing figures, during the week this figure drops to a third but still pretty impressive.
