jap surf?

iv had some 4x4s before but like the surfs.
Im looking at a 1994 plate 3L
How can i tell if its a jap import or not?

you can tell its an import if its not a 4Runner or its simply a Surf

All Surfs are Jap imports.

Firstly Hi and welcome.
When looking over the vehicle, look for stickers & speck plates with Japanese symbols. Places to look are in engine bay, drivers door pillar, inside fuel filler flap. On automatics, on the red button on the gear shift cowl, and drivers sun visor sticker. That's where most of mine are located.
