the cooling fan is not cutting in!!

on the 94 3l the cooling fan is not cutting in.
any ideas i should look for? im afraid it might overheat if i don't sort it out

check the fan motor isn't seized.

check the plug.

check all wiring.

check fuses/relays.

if none of the above might be engine temp sensor (not 100% on this one)

I think that electric fan is for the AC and not the engine..which uses a viscous fan

Are we actually talking about the electric fan? If not then ignore this and everything else. What if the engine is not hot enough to switch the fan on? Have you disconnected the switch to see if it switches on? Have you tried it with air con on?

AC is not there any more,
on the engine bay next to fuse box there is the one of the aircon 2 relays removed, only in there is the small one (pink) fuse

mm! ... don't know, in my 2.4 works (with no aircon)

I don't think the electric fan has anything to do with the cooling system on a 3.0, I've never heard one running when its hot like a 2.4
