what is this fault code.

i have read the code to my best ability, the reason for doing this was that i was driving along at 40mph, and the revs went down to about 800, planted the throttle and it went to about 1500 then down to 800 then up to 1200 then stalled, so rolled it in neutral into a lay by, and it started straight up.

so read the code and got:

ignition on in park: 1 flash every 5 seconds

ignition on in drive: constant flsashes every 0.5 seconds.

anyone know the problem. i dont understand what code it is hence the topic.

Then it sounds like you have a fuelling problem not electrical, as constant flashing means no codes stored. A single flash every five seconds also means normal.
Blocked filter maybe or vacuum in the tank?

Have you been using cooking oil?

nope i thought it might be fuelling, how do you cure vacuum in the tank, and ill change the filter as its due.

never used veg.

i have read about a mod about adjusting the fuelling on the pump, with the screw, didnt you do it? if so how was it in the long run, as i did rebuild my pump about 8 months ago.

Anyone told you your 2.4 can't be a 1994 model?

Maybe your timing is out. Did you fit the timing belt correctly?

yes its a 1994 2.4 been through this already a few times.

anyway, i drove it to my parents so they could see their grandchild, on the way there it died and wouldnt start, atall, ever.

spent 2 hours playing with it on the pavement in the main road, where i had to push it there on my own as not fekker would help.

the fuel filter was leaking fuel out of the bottom, had to bodge it with a bolt wrapped with gaffa tape, but still no start, until i reset the ecu, by disconnecting the earth leads for 15 mins.

started up straight away then.

as for timing, yes it is correct, no doubt about that, i rebuilt the pump 8 months ago and all has been brilliant since now.

you're really not helping with the issue in which i am asking for help. do you really think i care about that, i have asked for advice on here so someone could give me advice to help me over come the issues i have with my surf.

at the moment i have a vehicle sat on my driveway, that i do not trust to get me anywhere, therefore i can not in any way let my wife and child go anywhere regardless of the cause as they may end up anywhere stranded.
