  • Short rear seatbelts?

The wife was tryin to fit babys car seat in back of the 3rd Gen today but the seatbelt wasn't long enough!!!
It faces the rear. The lap section crosses over baby's lap and the shoulder section should pull forward and round rear of babyseat, to stop any forward movement. But the belt just ain't long enough!!!!

    Anyone had this problem?

Yes I know, changed days. Ha. I'm not interested in raising the truck and whackin some 35s in the arches. Oh aye, we had a baby 6 weeks ago. Ha.

Alright mate. Just had a look on eBay. Universal extensions with a 22mm buckle should fit.

Oh, you done any winch bumpers for a 3rd gen yet? The tubular type
What you bringing to the island this year?

      Cheers.

Congrats on the bairn. I had a baby seat in mine for the grandkids, the facing backward one and yes the belt was short but I got it in. Ive changed seats now that grandson is a bit older to a facing fwd one and by tilting the seat back I can get the belt to reach and go in the buckle. Its close, but it does go in. I honestly cant remember if I had it tilted back to get the baby one in, but that was only a base, then the actual seat fitted to the base. The one I have now is a whole seat. Hope this makes some semblance of sense.

I have a 2 door lifted surf so we will see might be nice to try a bigger truck again. It will be a challenge if nothing else.

Was down at farmers today. ColGlen has been sold!!! I have a plan B though and it's not as wet as ColGlen and there's a great big bit of natural oak/birch woodland.

I've got an "as new" one in the garage that I had for the same reason in a previous car. You can have it for half the price of a new (Ebay one) plus postage.
If you want it I'll dig it out in the morning for you...Will just need to check it's the right buckle for the surfs. there's a fatty and and a thinny I believe...

I tried the seat as far back as possible but still no joy. I have a base isofix thing for the wife's car, but the good old surf doesn't have that option.
                  Extension ordered.
