clarkson / top gear surf review
have heard much talk about the jeremy clarkson review on the surf where he tried destroying it but failed, sadly i missed it - does anyone know if it is being repeated on sky or is avaliable on the web to watch ?......

It was a Hilux pickup, not a Surf. Pretty much the same chassis & running gear. Don't know if it was auto/manual or what the engine size was. I think it was a 1990 or so.
He did treat it real bad, and it's true that they did get it going again each time, but it took work by specialists & it wasn't pretty... You certainly wouldn't have bought it as a runner.
Still, it makes you even prouder when you say you drive a Hilux Surf...
Don't know about repeats.

just for a laff, I popped my Surf into a local body repair shop cos of the dents in the two doors - they reckoned it would be two new doors which would have to come from Japan - total cost £675!DaveComment
