  • new issue; fuel gauge faulty.

my surf has YET another problem (they just keep on coming). I have noticed the fuel gauge bounces up and down when i am driving. it quickly starts to descend immediately after i start the engine and drive. when i park it on an even ground the gauge rises significantly to a higher position and stays there until i start the engine once again.

now i concluded that the gauge is faulty but should I trust the reading on a flat ground until I change the gauges? (this might just be why i think the car is taking a lot of fuel per kms, the gauge lowers very quickly. and i think it falsely reads "E" even when there is abt 1/4 tank fuel.

I did fill it up and it did about 250kms before the red light came on. thats ridiculously thirsty.

and i live in Addis Ababa, ETHIOPIA (which is of course in Africa, East). 9.4969° N, 36.8961° E as Google says.

I didn't actually - I committed the offence of assuming that everybody knew that Ethiopia is in East Africa !

I should know better at my age
