I've not heard about an Asian market, that sounds a bit iffy. I do know that a lot of, written off and scrap, Toyota 4x4s end up in Kenya.

There's quite a few Surfs in the Philippines. Probably a scam though.

Someone said on here last week that the price of Surfs in Japan was so high because of demand in Sri Lanka.
Could be that your 'Asian' enquirers were from that part of the world.

Surely it can't be cheaper to export via the UK back to Asia? Or are we talking about a recent price increase?

Just get them to deposit twice the amount you want for the truck into your PayPal account, transfer the money to your bank account then tell them that you'll park the truck at the docks with the keys in the tailpipe.

Or alternately, tell him come to your house, hand over the cash, you hand over the car and the V5 green bit, and off he goes to do what he wants with it.

I sold a Toyota Hiace about 8 years ago on Ebay. Within hours I was getting cash offers by phone and Email for it. I think it was about a grands worth and it went in the end for nearly £1500. Anyway the point is all offers were coming from Asian chaps. The guys that eventually won the van turned up the next day, paid cash and went. They asked me if they could back date the date of sale on the registration document so they could export it to Pakistan without getting clobbered for import duties.
As we all know Toyota have cornered the Asian market and I can well believe that theres a very good spares trades out there.

                Regards
