I know - not again - fuel cons/conversion

ok let me make sense of that. Im sure i saw on here somewhere a link to a site that converts ltr/km into mpg etc..... can any one remember or point me in the right directon.
Im a newbie surfer and about to monitor mpg. I need to have an idea for my bi-monthly motorway trips of approx 500 miles round trip - so the link would be useful. either that or i will have to get my excel spread sheets skills back into play. been a while though - lol

Whats this about back ends slipping out in the wet, it rained pretty good today, i didn't have a problem....
also got my incar audio upgraded-a few new spkrs and a cool alpine base unit. so its an even bigger grin all round.....

It gives km/l converts, gives average per tank and average overall and cost per mile (fuel only!)

PS if anyone tryes it and wants additional information on it, I work with spreadsheets all day, so I could add it in quite easly.

Ditto, work with 'em day in day out. I too was using one for a while, recording consumption & distance in litres & Kms, accounting for uploads of both diesel & veg-oil with per litre pricing for both and ploting cost per mile, average cost per mile, current mpg and average mpg to date on a chart. Used it for about 8 months or so and found that my mileage did not vary much regardless of driving style, journey types or fuel mix used, so I got bored and stopped using it....

Yea - know what you mean about the boredem factor and mine only been going about 6 weeks. I do get big differnce between day to day and long distance mileage + 5or 6 mpg.

Should be interesting though when I eventualy get onto the Bio and VO (and I'l have to do one for the bio costing)

I don't doubt it, however as my job uses microsponge and its bloatware products I don't have too much choice.

I still reckon excel is excellent, for my needs, but don't doubt there's better out there.

I'm forced like most people (in work anyway) to use M$ products - but at home I have Office and SmartSuite installed.

I just wish businesses were not so hung up on using M$ Office just because they use an M$ OS.

We used to use SmartSuite here at work untill we got new owners about 4 years ago
