  • Importing 1997 HILUX LN105R Pickup to France

    Hi there.
    My name is Steve and new to the forum. I have a question regarding the Import of my HiLux to France. I have looked on the Forum and there is a few answers but not exactly the ones I need.

    (1) authorised loaded weight
    (2) authorised rolling weight (no idea what this means, maybe driving?)
    (3) maximum authorised weight on front axle
    (4) maximum authorised weight on rear axle
    (5) engine type stamped on engine (they say “for example, 3S-GTE” if that helps)

    on my compliance plate I have a few weights but there is no reference to what they mean.

    in order from top of plate down.

    2515 KG
    4615 KG
    1-1180 KG
    2-1685 KG

    Under the weights I also have a set of Initials then some number and letters

    in order.

    C/TR/A/TM 8E3 QL11 G252 G58

    Any help to identify the weighs and letters and numbers would be great.

    Many thanks

    2515 is the kerb weight of your truck
    4615 is the GWT
    1=front axle
    2=rear axle

    Colour/Trim/axle/Transmission

    If yours has a seventeen digit chassis no you stand a chance of import.Commercial vehecles can be challenging!
    If you have a 13 digit Grey import chassis no,then you will need €2500 minimum to start the import process rolling.

    Regards

    Mark

          It's not, It's the fee for the equilvalent of an SVA,for which you have to go to Paris for. It's a total rip off,like a lot of things in France!!!!
