  • Head light deflectors

We are going to drive to Italy and have to fit head light deflectors to the surf. The instructions that come with them don't seem to make reference to the surf. Can anyone help with where to locate the deflectors on the head lights?

    Thanks guys

If this helps just use elec insulating tape...this is what I do as I have found some of these kits don't work to well and I get flashed by others. Never been flashed using the tape. You can see the shape on the glass that needs taping. Just my opinion...have a good trip.
          .... Which was nice.

If your not sure where to put it..just turn on your light and watch the throw of the beam..cover as needed..
            .... Which was nice.

As you look at the headlight you tape or stick your thing on the right..as I said there is a shape/pattern that goes towards the centre and then gets shorter and shorter.
              .... Which was nice.

From what I remember, the circle goes over the middle of the lens and the edge that says 'baseline' goes along the sort of diagonal line (going from the middle to the bottom right corner of the lens - as you face it).

Yip as above..I have those, its a bit counter intuitive the instructions dont cover the Surf but they show a standard headlight unit. I'v been here Germany 4 weeks now and now nobody has flashed me.

                            I would'nt even bother!!
I don't think the Europeans even know they exist (here,in France at least)
If I wanted to buy the equivelant to come to the UK,I could'nt,because not one of the car accessory shops sell them. The only place, you can buy them is on the ferry to Dover.
They do virtually swat anyway,I drove around for weeks, maybe months, with my UK lamps on and never got flashed, and if we come to the UK in the Left hooker,we never bother either along with the rest of Europe.
Just another money spinner in my opinion!!

Spend your money on an alcohol breath tester instead,to save the Jonnys using theirs

                            Regards
