haven't really got into this one... saw it tonight and it was pete mates birthday!... there's some good clips on some episodes about trailling, but it's majorly landrover biased... he's building a hybrid (rangerover chassis and LR body)... making a big thing that it's a 100" wheelbase and they're so rare...
every man and his dogs got one these days!
obviously it's gonna be a nice motor cos he's been to the akzo nobel paint shop for a spray and replaced all the old parts with brand new when you're not looking!
i hope he was a better vet than he is a tv presenter !!!!
its also really easy with all the help and money on tap
( moan - moan - moan ) ME HANGOVERS JUST KICKED IN
he just drives me a bit mad at times
I quite like him as a presenter, he's really enthusiastic and also as a mechanic he is top notch. OK it's a lot easier with the workshop setup he has (I'm soooooo jealous) but the fact that he takes time to do things 100% correctly, no short cuts, no bodges means that I am sure that the landrover he build will be far better than anything that ever came out of Solihull.
He builds anything he does with such precision he remonds me of the guys in Boyd Coddington's custom shop - you will know what I mean if you ever watch American Hotrod on Discovery H&L.
They had the whole series on Home & Leisure weekend before last. Watched most of it and the finished vehicle looks good but must have cost a fortune in new bits.
Whilst it is generally good, what made me laugh is the ground that was being tested on and the fact they said they had over-engineered the thing...I believe most of us have been on trickier ground!!
