Oil (urgent help please)

Can anyone tell me the best type of oil to use. I have 91 2.4 auto and I cant find anything in the manual.

I was going to use diesel 10-40.

Any advice would be appreciated.

That'll do OK, you'll struggle to find a really bad oil these days.

I always prefer to buy a normal/semi synthetic oil and change it regually than break the bank on the oil itself.
