to lighten it up (rear bumpers weigh a ###### tonne), and to make room for a yoshie rear bumper

Nice. I like the skull gear knob and there must be some joke to be had about having bone in your hand!
            Non consternationes.

Rumour has it, he likes an unusual knob...and he likes Henry.

To finish that off, get some nice checkerplate ally angle from B&Q like mine

Got some shiny nuts you can have too....

Hi Wolfracer are your front recovery points home made, any chance of a better pic?

No, they are the standard tie down points on the front...
on the LHS as you look at it, just above the shackle is the proper rated recovery hook, which I use when trying to get stuck in mud...

Have you not got the tie down points? They are bolted to the chassis, so could have been taken off?

ETA you can see them slightly clearer on the front pic of Animal's new truck

I only have the hook mounted on the near side, it looks ok for towing on road but there isnt any rating stamped on it, i assumed this was factory standard. I dont have the tie down points where you have your shackles attached. Where did you get your rated hook from?

Sorry, shouldn't have said "rated" but have read threads on people (albanach iirc) talking about rated hooks. I believe the hook is factory, but was not fitted to all trucks... in any case, its larger than the hook the recovery truck was using to pull me up his flat bed...

[QUOTE=Wolfracer;761750]To finish that off, take it off all together

                              Fixed that for you Wolfie.

Fugly looking things those factory A bars, spoils a really nice looking truck.
                              Still on a mission.
