Door Panel repair

Would anybody know which glue to use to repair a clip mounting on the plastic door panel. I have tried Super glue, Bostic Epoxy Resin, Impact type glue and a type of resin glue. Obviously the material is made of a special type of plastic, but up to now I cannot fathom which will repair it. Hope someone can help. Cheers.

It's probably A B S plastic so plumbers "pipeweld" might do it

I used "Super 7" to fix the clip on one of the outer trims. Worked a treat.

Broken clip

Mounting for door clip

Hi Al,
It is the mounting which the clips fit into, which hold the door card to the door frame. They are solid until they break, but very difficult to repair. I have just tried a new glue, but have to wait 24hrs before I test it. However thanks for your input Fey, I will put Super 7 on my to buy list if this one fails. Thanks for all the input. Will.

door clips

Will,been looking through my box of bits,the holes in the door card are roughly figure of eight,the holes in the door are just a small hole and the clips that fit between the two are about 18mm tall with a prongy(Technical note..."prongy bit" is a highly specialised term,known only to a few of us) bit at one end and two round plastic bits at the other,round bits are 12mm & 18mm,the smaller one goes into the door card,the wider one fits against the door.Any chance you could stick a picture of the broken bit on here,I have a few spares,Alan

Solution to problem

Thanks to all for their input and suggestions. After trying various glues, resins and super types, I read my manual, and in the bodywork doors section they recommended using a hot melt glue gun with a general purpose glue stick. Well it certainly did work, I also repaired my wing mirror which had a crack in it, a piece of trim from the rear wheel arch, one of the wind deflectors was reattached using said gun, along with the sole on my trainers and wooden parrot which had lost its head. As people often say on here RTFM
