I never cease to be amazed by the ease with which people assume that stupidity has limits - there are NO LIMITS to how stupid people can be !

I remember a lass on my teacher training course (bearing in mind that she is now teaching chemistry in an English secondary school somewhere!) asking the question to a lecturer in a lecture theatre with something approaching a hundred people in:

"Why is two thirds of nine, six?"

Alas, this wasn't a one off. She was full of dumb questions and a total lack of understanding of the blatently obvious.

She was a nice enough lass but no wonder the education system is suffering!
