Thanks all.
Interesting discussion has begun...
Indeed I am in Japan, walked into the dealer and ordered up with the key code.
They also have a copy of my reggie on file so I guess I could have done it that way too.
Re. the plate blurring, yeah.
This is an unsecured forum, visible to anyone worldwide without setting up even a basic membership.
I don't know any of you yet, not to mention the umpteen thousand random visitors every month.
I dunno about you guys but I value my personal details enough to keep 'em under wraps under such circumstances; as has been mentioned mischief can and does happen.
Of course I'm parked up outside and anyone can roll past, but Japan is a whole different scene, I know the neighbors/sense strange traffic, and generally watch my ass. If that's being paranoid so be it.
If you think the internet/world is a friendly place, think again.
One reason I'm happy so many good folks seem to post here, these days it is the rarity, the exception. Certainly not the rule, have a look around, it's 90% spambots, trolls and idiots; witness 19-year-olds pretending to be 125.
I'm glad to be here but I hold my cards fairly close.
Face to face I hide nothing, and drink copious amounts of Beer.
Perspective is everything.
P.S. If you follow my image links to photobucket you will see the whole potpourri of stuff I have going on, I only want to keep the most basic of trolls at bay.
Putting it all right up front is an invitation for disaster.Last edited by MadScott; 20 March 2012, 12:35.

No two surfs are the same anyway! I could id mine a mile off, or not as the case may be! Unless you've got something to hide, i don't see the point in hiding reg plates. Too much effort for so little assumed benefit."B.A." Baracus: "Talk to me, talk sense so I can talk back. Not all this jibberjabber like breaking the peace and all that."

I have nothing to hide, but I prefer to limit the amount of info I give out on the internet. True, my plates are on display to the general public for legal reasons, but why promote it worldwide? where if you are unlucky, some toe rag will use your reg when committing a crime.

Thanks for the warm welcome Mr. Tony.
Doesn't mean it has to be available for worldwide perusal.
One click edit in p-bucket.
...
Like I said, it's all out there.
If you run with your dick outside your pants you are asking for trouble.
That said once again you will see from my p-bucket stuff that I am fairly real.
Also have a look at my youtube channel, fun stuff.

Sorry if I gotta sacrifice some small animal or something to gain favor here I am at a bit of a loss.

Anyway, I had some 'toe rag' use my actual car whilst committing a crime. I survived perfectly well.Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

I'm not sure what the 'knuckle skin' comment means, lets just hope you're not a GCDo you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

That's really no big deal, the media will have you think it is, but it isn't.
It causes unwanted hassle proving you are the inocent party. I too have had a car stolen and used in a robbery with guns. Car was written off, I had C.I.D take me to Chiswick nick to prove where I was at the time. I survied too!
Each to their own, but I prefer to limit what I put out the the word wide web.

But I'm pretty sure that if one of the international criminal masterminds that frequents this forum, uses a 18 year old, green, 2 tonne truck with my registration number (L454 LNE) to wreak havoc on the world, I'll be fine.

I just reminded myself about the stolen car, it was quite a funny incident looking back. It was a Mk 11 cortina that I had done up to replicate the 1600E which some of the wrinklies on here may remember. Woke up one morning to hear the rain outside, looked out to see a dry patch in the road where my car was supposed to be. So using my detective prowess, I realised it had just been nicked. Called the local police (Feltham) only to be told "yeah, we had a few go last night, yawn"
So I cycle to work via a renowned council estate on the lookout.
In the evening I called the police again, but to no avail. Sat down to watch the Local news, some may remember the news programme fronted by Andrew Gardner, called Thames at Six. Anyway he announces a robbery took place in Isleworth with police having shots fired at them from the getaway car, The scene then shows a crashed police car, a pick up truck and my car being towed across my television screen. I called the police back and asked them why they had not informed me, as this incident took place in the afternoon, only to be told that they could not disclose any info due to the seriousness of the offence. Hence I ended up under suspicion.
