  • Toad versus Cats

As is fitting with the posts of late here is my random.

Saw my first toad of the year today

luckily just before my size 12 Cats squished the poor fellow.
Happy to report both the toad and my Cats are doing fine.
    That is all.

            On a serious note,
Never really thought about hibernating frogs n toads. Last wednesday, we relocated one as it was in a pile of hardcore we were removing - it wasn't "asleep" though, and the pile hadn't been there long, so could one assume it had woken up a fair while earlier in the year?
And we are further north than you!

Ah Wasps the hoodies of the insect world.
I have had a look back through the posts going back a fortnight and there is no mention of wasps or bees so unless you have an independent means of verifying this then no you do not win.
Go to the back of the class and pay more attention, and who said it was a competition?😄

And in fear of perhaps starting a whole new 'competition'. I using aforementioned Cats did bring about the timely demise of a mahoosive wasp yesterday the thug must have been nearly 2 inches long.
                    Die Wasp Die !!!!😉

I too saw one of those special flat frogs (might have been a toad), the ones with what looks to be tyre treads down their backs.

What's the difference between a frog and a toad?
