I am pretty sure I also remember that van.
1984 I just passed my test and bought a mk1 1300 escort within a year I had a mk1 RS. 'O' how the insurance industry has changed.

True, was about 84/85 when I passed test, at 17 my first car was a Twin Carb 1800 Marina, a year later I had a 5.2lt V8 Dodge Crew Cab Pickup.

I was only on YTS wages, (about £50 a week) and bought car, petrol, insurance and had fun most nights on that without any hassles.

That's a very nicely done van.

If you like your classic Fords, get to a Surrey meet or a Santapod RWYB meet when the Harris' and their many friends decide to go. One of them is just building a Crossflow for his Anglia. All steel, expected to be 1800cc (ish)
