wind deflector sticky stuff

Does anybody know what product is used to stick the wind deflectors on please. Was going so fast the other day one blew off!

Tigerseal is the shizzle.

TEC7 is good too. Available at B&Q.

There are loads of good products but these two you will more than likely use again elsewhere.

Most double sided sticky tape type products always end up failing and coming off.

cheers - it was the double sided stuff that was on originally, so will give those others a look into.

I ummm.... poked it off with a piece of wood - accidentally like!

It's called trim tape.

There should also be two metal clips which clip onto the deflectors and grip the metal on the top of the door they are a bit flimsy but make the deflector more secure than just the double sided tape. I have to get a pair as I also had a rear deflector ripped off in the last lot of high winds one clip had already broken allowing the deflector to come away from the door, consiquently the other clip broke through metal fatigue and the deflector just ripped away when the wind caught it. I am hoping that I will be able to get some from Toyota when I put my next order in, they have not let me down yet.

On that point does anybody know what removes TEC7 after it cures

So if you use tiger seal can you forget using the clips?

Yes, this will hold your deflectors on no without clips. You might need to tape them up in position until it goes off. If you can't get Tigerseal any polyurethane adhesive/sealant will do. Most motor factors keep tubes of some description.
