The bidding sat at £12.50 for almost the week and I was pleased with that. I logged in to see the final sale price and they went for £30! Why so much?

because somebody bid more than someone else, simples ..........

or because people really don't know where to get them from and see them on ebay and think they rare as rocking horse poo

I suppose the saying that it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay fits here then. I'd say there are a lot of idiots around, in general.

I'm with Tony on this after spending a lot of time at antique auctions, all you need is a stupid woman in there who hasn't got a clue, I was bidding on something worth 30 quid one night and two women came in on the bidding, I wanted the item but only willing to go 20, at 25 I shook my head and watched these two idiots scowling at each other across the room after placing bids, £60 it went for, even the auctioneer was shaking his head and cracked a funny about it being a record for tat. H

Maybe both 'idiots' wanted it. There is a possibility that even 'stupid women' might just like to own something.

5mm is 5mm. Unless someone has kind of exaggerated sizes to her some how? For example she may have assumed 5 inches. In that case, it's entirely hers and her partners fault.

I just sold my 5mm wheel spacers on Ebay. I doubted I'd get £10 for them so put on there for £9.99 starting with free postage. Seeing as someone else is selling Ally ones £10 per pair plus postage that I'd get £9.99 for the four.
