    ...to help me choose one when the time comes.

    If there's already a thread or sticky, please point me to it but I am trying to find out the answers to some basic questions about the Surf.

    Here goes:

    1. How many subdivisions are there? I had understood just Hilux and Hilux Surf. My son says it is Hilux, Surf and Hilux-Surf.

    2. What's the difference between the "Estate/station wagon" and "4x4" body types?

    3. Someone told me an intercooler KN185 was deemed the holy grail of Surfs. Is this so? If so, why?

    Answers on a postcard please.

      Hilux Surf. Toyota 4Runner. Hilux pick-up.

      They're all the same thing when it refers to Surfs.

      A Lexurf is the 'Holy Grail'!
