  • Will they fit?

Hi guys looking to get some at tyres for the surf and have found some on 16" rims the tyres are General Grabber at 265/75R16 so will they go on a standard gen 2 surf without any problems?

    Thanks, Karl.

Are you wanting to fit the tyres on 2nd gen alloys? the answer is no.

If you want to fit the 16" wheels on the surf you need to know the pcd of the wheels stud holes and the offest, and the size of the hole in the middle of the wheel.

If you've got 16" rims on your surf the tyres will fit on your rims, no problem. If your asking if the tyres AND the rims you have found will fit your Surf - no idea. They could be for a Land Rover for all I know.

Now assuming that the wheels have holes in all the right places and of the right sizes. The wheels will fit, but with tyres of that profile ( 75) Im pretty sure you will get some rubbing somewhere with a standard non lifted surf. 265/70 might be ok, but I think 75s will catch somewhere

So basically what you're saying is, they'll fit but there's a catch?

Basically, given the information we have, they may fit. Or they might not.

I'm nearly 50% certain that is probably the correct answer.

Or possibly round about 50% certain, there's a possibility, they won't fit or maybe will probably.

                  Not.

                        What Bogus said.

                        Probably.

I have 265/75 x 16 Grabber AT2's fitted to my truck with no problems.

I haven't done any type of lift to it BUT I'm not convinced something wasn't done before I bought it....

I'm sure it does sit slightly higher than standard.

And now a HELPFUL response - nearly ...

IIRC 16" 75's fit SOMETIMES - it's a close run thing and whether they rub or not will depend on your Surf. I believe that if there is any rubbing it can be resolved by 'adjusting' some of the 'softer' bits around the wheelarches.

I realise that's no more use than the previous posts but if you're really fortunate a grown up will be along shortly to give you a definitive response !

                            The bottom line is:

                            Do you feel lucky ?

I had 265x75x16 BFG All Terrains on my first Surf. It had +2" springs and the fronts wound up 1 1/2". This is it pictured about nine years later. As you can see, the height has sagged a bit.
