Hi Tony, just got out of my pit. Have to sleep in day fridays incase get a call from agency to work tonight (no call yet). As user name shows, I do night trunks on weekends. Eddleston, I am an ex-Bristolian. As far as green laneing goes, would love to give it a try, but must keep truck in good condition, I am afraid that the nearest I will get is the muddy country roads, as I can't risk any damage, or afford the wear and tare of any off road activity. I only go across a field in an emergency. My truck is the only transport I have as no busses out here, and will be stranded at home if it gets anything busted. Hope we can get a few other faces along to a meetup. It would be nice to put faces to names, just have to work out where & when would be best for all interested.
Any other night owls sitting around with a surf parked outside (no work this weekend), wondering whether to just jump in and go for a drive, but can't think of a destination to make it worth burning fuel. I prefer driving at night, but nowhere to go as everyone else is asleep. Found that people not happy if I turn up to visit them in the early hours. Just my ramblings give me somthing to keep me occupied.
I'm here but Mr. Plod would have a word or two if I ventured out at the moment. Homebrew has an undesirable effect when it comes to driving road going vehicles. Nice thought but better planning is required...
I'm sure I can get Vince to commit to a gtg in the future as well.
As i said i will have to consider distance at the minute
Hi Tony, had a look on Google earth for a suitable meetup venue. Do you know the Sidemoor diner on the A361 near South Molton. Don't know the opening times (afternoon/evenings), but looks like a good place with lots of parking space to meet and get a coffee & sandwich. It is 61 miles (about hour drive) from me, but much closer to Barnstable for you. Could do with giving the surf a good run, and give me a good reason to get out of the house and do somthing interesting. I missed grabbing your email address off your bike thread. So over to you mate.
