  • help needed

    hi i have a hilux surf LN130 trying to get the sensor that controls the cooling fan have seen the one on http://www.roughtrax4x4.com/?doc=16&cid=149&vid=948

    have been offered one that look completely different that i am told is right and cheaper

    i want to see if i can get it cheaper but need the part number if any one can help

    Try a post in parts wanted, you may be able to pick a good second hand one up from one of the members.

        A sensor from a Toyota carolla of around the same year as the truck will fit, put one in mine, prob several other models toyota's will also fit, feck sight cheaper than roughnecks

            There are two types of connector on the sensor, one has a spade, one a shaped plastic socket end, that's the difference. You may have to cut your plug and fit a spade terminal.

            I don't know why they changed connector, I wouldn't be surprised if there is different temp to set fan on, as the head problems came to light, there is usually a reason to change things. It's not just to annoy people.
