  • T-Belt Indicator Signal

    Can anyone offer advice.
Have just picked up my 3.0 SSR-X today from Soton Docks. Very dusty and a bit smelly after being in container for 8 weeks however, the T-Belt indicator light stayed on for the whole journey home. Is this just an "indicator" to advise that the belt requires replacing or a "warning" to say do it now before the engine dies?
Obviously do not know how long the light has been on for but car has done 91,000km (60,000miles)

Yes, on 2.4 comes on '@ 100k not sure if same for 3.0 someone will soon say.
can be reset by removing small rubber plug to left of trip reset and pressing small button.

If its a 3rd gen the dash lights need to come out to reset the light, there is a small screw with a alternate position hole alongside. After changing the timing belt (after all that is what the warning is for) reset the light by putting screw in second hole.
Did mine about 5 months ago.
