mot'd today

got me mot today, all that was wrong was new exhaust silencer and tailpipe, £150 quid fitted, so 200 notes all in, not too bad for 20tr old truck,
(he did cheat a bit on the emissions,hence time to change filters)

one quick question though.....when removing oil filter, i know you take it out from underneath the wheel arch, but do i attack it from the same position or is it easier from the top? and does it just unscrew(with a bit of huff and puffing)

Yep, remove that little inspection plate to get at the filter and it just unscrews. It might be very tight so you might need a tool to get it off or as a last resort, stab it with a screwdriver to use as a lever. Make sure you've got the replacement filter first though!
