  • Gen 3 side light removal.

Hi all, daft question probably, but how do the side lights come out on a '96 Gen 3? I have a bulb out on the near side and the Max Ellery manual says to remove the head light/side light brk't screw (on top) and the whole side light assy. should just pop out. (with a bit of 'slapping' forwards.)
Well I've slapped it, poked it, tried 'jemmying ' it, but it rattles (so it must be loose) but refuses to come out and I'm going to crack something if I'm not careful! Is there another screw anywhere?
I'd be gratefull for a pointer.

Open the bonnet and remove the crosshead screw on top of the sidelight.
Then prise the sidelight away from the wing, not forwards away from the headlight like on the 2nd gen.

            Problem sorted.

Thanks for the replies, I've managed it now, but it was a bit tight.
It does come forward, but I had to take the battery out, get a long 'podger bar', and push on the back of the lower locating spigot.
If you look up from below, you can make out the back of the spigot in it's housing, but can't get enough force to it, to push it forward. Hence the battery had to come out. Thanks all anyway.

i found on mine, undo screw, prise light forward and to side so you get a gap between headlight and sidelight then pull forward hard
