insurance Recommendations ?

Anyone got any recent recommendations for Insurance ?

I am based in UK but hoping to find an insurer who will cover me in E.U. for longer than the standard 2 months [ maybe up to 6 months ].

Lot of insurers seem unable to quote because 'Computer says No' - ie they haven't got the Hilux Surf on their database.

I have been with Footman James for years but their latest quote is absurdly high [ over £900 ] and anyway they seem unable to quote for more than the 2 months in EU.

Have nice low quote - £ 242 from RAC but the callcentre person claimed they CANNOT ever extend the EU cover beyond two months.

I have never had an accident in over 40 years of driving on 3 continents. [ Touch wood.]

That'll be a good find if you get year round continental cover.
I tried that route a few years ago and it was silly money.
