Low mpg

20 mpg for 2.4 is that right ? Seem abit extreme. Any ideas for increasing mpg ?

75-80 on the M/way will get you 20mpg.
Whereas 60-65 will give you more.

Crawling around town is every bit as bad as trying to reach 90 ...

If it's an auto then the best fuel consumption is obtained by keeping the gearbox just locked up - that happens around 55mph

I only plod about 60 on motorways and don't drive hard. Maybe totally off but my friend has a Nissan terrano and in his fuel pump under the banjo bolt there was a little gauze filter have surfs got anything like that ?
