    I'll give MCD a try.

Here's the bike, well not the actual one but exactly the same spec.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Thats why I said to phone them up. Had a similar quote from them a few years ago for the wife's bike insurance. Talked to them on the phone and they said "oh, that's not very good is it? I'll just put you on hold for a minute and see what I can do"

When the operator returned to the conversation they explained that they had got a special arrangement with Norwich Union running at the time whereby they were allowed to undercut whatever the lowest quote was that you'd received so far. We made up a number a bit less than the best quote we'd had and saved about £600 on their previous quote and paid immediately before they could change their mind!

For some reason a lot of insurance company's don't like older sports bikes, I found a new R6 was cheaper to insure than a 90's YZF600 Thundercat, go figure? On the upside it did convince me to take up Yamaha on their 0% finance offer at the time lol

Older, cheaper, bikes are a higher risk because they are cheap. Someone paying the sharp end of £10k for a bike is going to look after it more than someone who pays £600 for a bike.

                  Not bad, £212.08.

I'll give all the reasonable online quotes a call this week to see what they can do for me, you can normally get a few quid knocked of if you speak to them.

                  Happy days.
