I don't know if you haven't replaced a turbo or alternator before, but it helps if you remove the driver's side wheel, and oil filter access plate on the inner wing to gain better access to some of the nuts and bolts.

In order to make sure it gets done (and cos I seem to randomly keep puking at the moment and don't feel too great) I've left it with a friendly local garage to do but thanks for the info - might have been useful to realise that when I've removed the turbo before!
