  • Hat off to the Surf...

After giving the coolling system a good flush and filling with proper coolant, I can say, after towing the best part of a ton of wood plus trailer 20 miles across Worcestershire, the temp guage didn't move at all.

As a guage on the weight I was pulling, a slow incline on an A road, had me flat out at 45, bear in mind i can do 80+ normally where speed limits allow..

But hats off to the surf, the trailer hit some bumps and was snaking like a good un, the only effect i had was the van behind flashing his lights to tell me I had a problem! These surfs handle everything you can throw at them, I'm getting more attached by the day!

I tow a 1695 kg caravan behind ours and you have to watch your speed as it is easy to exceed 60mph on the motorway.
I need to get mine in for the 6,000 mile service shortly and will ask for radiator water to be changed and anti freeze to be added. May get the transmission fluid changed also for peace of mind. I use a garage in Blackpole.
