What a very well thought out and helpful post thanks, i'm a bit curious though as to what kind of a reaction you are expecting?

Surely that should be "wish I hadav done it pounds ago"

But anyway, there's no point educating the headbangers...

How is your LR? do you still have to open the drivers window to turn right, or have they fixed that yet?
We don't get many Solihullers on here, so would be nice to hear some "constructive" criticisms on both marks here?

            its a discovery,so no probs turning.lol

the 90 and 110 are bit tight on shoulder space.

i did like all the electrics on surf, but when swamped in the muddy stuff....

the mpg is better on the disco.

disco ive found slightly lacking on power.

allthough the diff lock helps out no end.standard on the 300tdi.

bits are loads cheaper on landrover, so not much cost to mod.

I looked at a Discovery before I ended up buying my Surf. It was ridiculously expensive for what it was. Riddled with tin worm, engine rougher than a badger's ar5e and about double the price of what I paid for the Surf (including putting a new head on it).

My old gaffa had one & I thought it "looked" ok.

One day he asked me to do a delivery in it "30 mile round trip" & it was gutless, had suspension like jelly & I had cramp after 20 minutes.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Disco's are to agricultural great over fields, off road etc but for road use there horrible where as surfs in my opinion are better off road and in anyone's opinion 110% better on road.

I've got nothing against disco's just having my 10 p worth
