Recieved a phone call this morning from local hospital to say I have to get back to the UK urgently to see a lung specialist

Appears my doctor has got concerned over my recent X rays, and wants something checking out in a hurry. So I am now in Naples airport waiting for my flight back to see what all the panic is about.

Was really looking forward to a weekend off in Pizza as well

Wish you all the best on that. X-rays do sometimes show cause for concern, I know firsthand. About 5 years back I was called in after an x-ray for something else entirely, showed a shadow on my left lung. It was an worrying few days before the MRI showed an all clear. The experience, unsurprisingly, stopped me smoking.

I'm fairly confident that it is not what he thinks, and most likely is just some crap built up from working on a building site earlier this year. So long as they get rid off this annoying cough I'll be happy.

Went to see him on the Friday before I left and has wasn't expecting results in till early next week, so he said no point hanging around till then.

Seems things moved a little quicker than he thought as it was the hospital that called me direct

Either way I'll get the answer tomorrow morning
