Apparently they were going 85-100mph from what witnesses said. I guess that was with around 3/4/5 car lengths between them. Tools.

That explains it. If you drive slowly with loads of space between cars like that you inevitably lose focus.

They should have spiced it up a bit. At 140 and bumper to bumper you tend to concentrate pretty hard in my experience.

I'd be pretty pleased about not being dead after crashing at that kind of speed...
