  • Funny what you find when your hunting for a Surf

Well having recently returned to the forum and been looking hard out for a Surf, I stumbled upon this at the right price and ended up buying it as my need for a vehicle to fit all my tools into out-weighed my desire for another Surf. Wallet was also a decider as this was half the price of a reasonable 2.4 ...... going to be interesting to say the least! And yes, I'm still looking for a Surf, this is a temporary aberration!..............HONES T!

And for those who are wondering...it's a 91 Mazda Proceed Marvie, 2.6ltr petrol, 7 seater and the size of a small bungalow!

Well from what i can see i like it, stick some more pics on when you can, looks an interesting "project"

just to add that the Masda is a good reliable motor, i had a car till some tw@t wrote it off and a mate had a pick up for ages, the loads we shoved in that and it went on for ever

Yep, will take some tomorrow morning and post them in the evening (thursday morning for those in Blighty), by the time had "negotiated the price it was dark! lol

As far as the "project" am thinking satin black paint, full bush bars, couple of spots up front and one out back and I might just have to put a flashing amber uptop - think practical with atitude! lol

ah yes, scuse me...was clearly having a moment!

I F@KKING HATE big stickers like that!

Unless it's a sticker that says "Please pay the bearer, on demand, in cash, the sum of $................." I MAY make an exception for one of those!

                  here tis, in da flesh

Took the bus for it's first off-road foray today, down the beach and back to terra firma via a creek, went well until we got stuck in the soft sand...no problem I thought, just select L4 and we'll be sweet.....no turning of front wheels and back axle just about bottomed out....erm......jumps out to look at front of truck (cos we all know that "looking at things fix's them right?)...peered more closely at the front wheels...of course..MANUAL diff lockers! (Clearly used to Surf's push button set up!) with these engaged...off we went, so so far so good.

Yep, it's a 20 year old bus AND with the seats down in the back, I can stretch out full length!! Which ya can't do in the Surf if your 6'2" like me! Still want me another KZN surfie but this bus will fill the gap nicely for now!
