  • @ TonyN (lift kit Q)

    Hi Tony,

When you fitted your lift kit did you have to modify the front exhust pipe for prop clearance ? It looks like it will foul to me.

    Thanks,
    Rob.

The only time you'll have trouble with front exhaust fouling front prop is if you do a diff drop. If your just doing a body or suspension lift the exhaust and props etc do not move at all.

It's a 4" suspension lift. TonyN is one of the only people here who has fitted one hence why my question was aimed at him

              Thanks.

You've cleared that one up for me, I can sleep easy now.

However, in the interests of detail, rephrasing my original question:

Are the upper arms sitting on their bumpstops? Your lower arms must look like this /^\ ?

hehe, yeah, you have to lenghten the down pipe to clear the front prop.

A proper 4" lift consists of new diff crossmembers that lowers the front diff and lower wishbones by 4", along with other steering bits and pieces so you keep completely stock wishbone angles, tie rod angles and torsion bar settings.

On the back you get new radius arm brackets so the rear axle is in the correct place and pinion angles are correct.

I knew what would happen in this thread, so went against my 'norm' and read it.

Glad to see I was right; and glad to see you're eventually getting it fitted!
