  • New batteries today

Had more than a few starting probs these last few months, and even after a solid 30 min run the day before barely when click the next frosty morning.

So search/read here, searched online, and in the end local outlet up the road manbat had the best deal and even the correct batteries for a two battery surf.

Phoned them said toyota surf, but just look up 91' four runner blah blah, guy not only knew what a surf was but had three battery choises.

I went for the mid range 5 year warrenty ones with the reversed poles on one side, I swear the back window now goes like the clappers and it turns over faster on a start then it ever has before, head lamps still dim though lol, I'll get to that loom upgrade one day.

    Final price £164.42 with vat

    Breakdown on the receipt
    £85.64 -20% discount = £68.51 x2 137.02 I think the discount is for buying both
    then vat.
; yes there are cheaper deals, but delivery charges adds a lot and some won't deliver at all. Besides what's wrong with maybe paying an extra £10 if you support a local business and get some decent service ? They checked the old ones free of charge with with a moden digital meter wich read poor on one and unstable on the other.

Thier code was 068/ 069 for the batteries on the receipt.

Glad you got them sorted. Cold weather is on the way so optimum battery performance essential. Reasonably priced too.

Hey Cal, You could have gone for Varta G7/830 & G7/830. They are bigger than the standard Surf twin batteries, still fit neatly, and crank a healthy 95ah.......Oh, and by the way; You've worked in retail how many years, now, and you still can't spell the word "warranty" correctly............................
