  • Lift Kits groan hang on

Long story short got Xjapan 2"lift kit a while back 3-6months procrastinating later can't find blocks or bolts, don't really want to shell out the £60-£70 again.

Now I know some of you are geniuses and this may be old old news but have any of you made a lift kit from HDPE?
No I haven't been smoking just looking at the options....

HDPE is what most lift blocks are made out of.

They will turn up, so sell then on here for a bargain price.
Just buy the kit and get it fitted!
Another way of saving the £60 is just to walk to work for a week, and you've got it!

I have, and have two 18" lengths of 2" diameter HDPE rod in the shed.

Boring and time consuming to make though, and I'd want more than £60 to make a set. Get another set from Xpajun tight arse!

You said it! i got 4" blocks from stien which i had to cut to 2" and that was bad enough, plus ream out verious washers, tubes etc for the thicker bolts, buy a proper kit,
          what about bits of 4x2?

I used hacksaw and lathe. Took ages. It's quite a lot of work to do it properly, and as you say, the cost of the HDPE and bolts is more than half the cost of what XPAJUN are selling them for - so when you factor in your time - well, you're probably doing it for minimum wage.

Totally agree, and yet I will think nothing of spending 3-4 hours washing my truck when I could bung a fiver at the local Polish carwash (other east europeans are available )
