Looks like a great forum
Just acquired a 1992 Hilux Surf as a part ex, was thinking of moving it on, but absolutely love driving it!
It was used a few years back at the East African Rally as a service vehicle, so has raised suspension
- Don't know by how much, or if any other modifications were made!
It is a 2.4 diesel- which from reading is prone to head problems, is there anything I should check for? (water levels and coolant colour seem fine)
Not sure what it's worth, any ideas? Not all that bothered, as more than likely will keep it for the winter!
The back has been stripped out ie has no rear seats and the rear interior panels have been removed- is there anyone breaking a hilux in S Wales area? How much would I expect to pay for these?
The rear window does not always go all the way up- is this likely to be a motor or just need some silicone spray?
Sorry for all of the questions, but if any one can teach me things about my vehicle ie what the ssr limited is? how high it seems to be raised? specific mechanical things to check for?
