I hate using supermarkets but often have no choice as they are the only thing open at the time I need them.
I'm surprised more small businesses haven't at least trialled say closing early one day but having one day a week that they stay open to 8pm or summat. I reckon it could work and bring a lot of money from people who commute so can only shop local at the weekends.

I remember looking this up so I knew what I was talking about during the arguement whilst trying to use Scottish money whilst back home / on the way home etc. Apparently it is not legal tender, according to various Google searches (could be wrong)..? So I gave up on the idea of trying to educate cashiers.
I took up trying to spend Gibraltar money in England instead. Over there if something costs £15 and you give them £15, they give you change.Oh Nana, what's my name?
