If its on the bone, boil it first for 10 mins and then crisp it up with some salt and oil on the £30'er...

I dug it OUT the garden as I had plans of making an (enclosed) raised border to act as a natural 10' high screen to next doors garden, but haven't quite decided what to do for the best yet. And yes, its still sprouting up where I dug it out!

Pampas grass is the same, she likes it; I despise it!

Does the chimney work then? I have my doubts as to whether such a short stack can draw up any air?

Oh yeah, once there's a bit of heat in there it works, but that's not really the point. The point is to have a big fecking good looking BBQ that you can stand in front of in your shorts, beer in hand, singing your chest hair and being manly.

                Cooks nice too.

Exactly! Proper BBQ with proper flames.

And no gas involved - except later, following copious amounts of beer

                      Flames, cos I can!

Can't remember, but wish I'd bought a bigger one now!

Next house I want something similar, but will have a pair of steel doors cut and will build a roasting spit for chunks of lamb, chickens, rabbits etc.

I know it took 4 of us to get the pallets of parts up to the garden for assembly, so it's substantial! Was fairly expensive in BBQ terms, but given how much we've used it, its been worth every penny!

I've seen them on eBay for about £700, which isn't much if it's used often?

When it was first built (some weird tw@t stole my New Mexico State plaque one night)

Will track down the pics I took of the parts during our build

Yeah that'd be about right. Great value if you like being outside as mine's a pleasure to use.
