I take your point, but do you know anyone who has actually been charged VAT when buying veg oil - do Tesco and the like even have a facility for this?
I too keep a record of all the veg and the bit of derv I use, but no-one has ever asked me for any "Proof".
My mate gets WVO free, so VAT does not make a lot of difference to him
