  • Wondering if anyone can tell me

    Hi,

I am new here so first of all Hi to everyone!

I am looking into getting a Gen. 4 Surf for eventual use as an overland vehicle for myself, my wife and most importantly my dog and I was wondering if someone could tell me the internal dimensions of the back (i.e. behind the seats) of the surf please? I have looked on http://www.hiluxsurf.eu/ at the specs and know the width and height but they don't have the length from the the back of the seats to the rear door.

    Thanks in advance

When you say "gen" do mean gen2 or gen3 as the gen3 is a bigger boot, don't know the exact dimensions as I'm in the van but I can measure it when I get home if nobody beats me to it.

    EDIT.
if you mean gen4, I don't think anybody on the forum has one yet?
If its not broke don't fix it.

Right mate, from top of seat to back panel on tailgate is 37 inchs or 94 cm, height to top of seat from boot floor is 21.5 inches or 54.5 cm & width ways is 39 inches or 99 cm to the inner of the wheel arches & 54 inches or 137 cm to the outer of the arches.

Hope this helps & I'm in all night if you require any other dimensions on the truck.

Just a quick one Si - what is the largest icosahedron you could fit in that space?
              Thanks,
              H

                          Hi,

Got back earlier this year after 15000 miles on two bikes (the wife refuses to ride pillion on mine - don't know why ) through Africa (West Coast not namby pamby Charlie Boorman East Coast route )

Getting a bit old to do such long trips and my bike is completely b*gg*red (DO NOT buy a BMW EVER!) so looking for something more comfortable to kit out. Will be doing Europe trips for the next year or so but in the long term want to do the Silk Road and Africa again.

                          Adrian

Be sure to keep an eye on the for sale section when your ready to buy as most of the trucks on here have been well maintained by members.
