I hope you've owned/trained dogs before, George! This could be a proper bu66er to train! Get yourself a properly qualified dog trainer to go to if there is anything you're not absolutely 100% sure about. Shar-Peis can turn into aggressive & difficult to handle dogs if they aren't really well socialised.

This and this will probably be helpful!

Given the recent controversy over the BBCs "The One Show" and the dangerous training techniques they were advocating (I know you don't watch telly but it was basically dominance based training rather than positive reward based training by a very young & inexperienced dog handler) it might be worthwhile checking a trainers credentials before using them.

Do it right and you'll have an amazing buddy for many years!

I'm looking forward to seeing the little fella grow up!

LOL ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, there are 2 grown up versions patrolling the local towpath ....... it appears the only dog to attack them (at a dog club), was a Border Collie and now they object to anything that looks similar ...... and of course I have 2 Border Collies just itching to tell them to "Behave!" All for a quiet life

A word of warning George, get rid of the tash or you will get your face ripped of when he's older.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Brilliant, I would love to see him, my mum and dad used to breed boxers when I was younger so I have always loved big dogs. I travel to Barnsley quite a lot would you mind if I popped over sometime to see him?
