It wouldn't be one of those Aerial half height switches ?

Or did Tokyo Joe have something fitted before you got it ?

On my 3rd Gen I have suspension switch (normal-hard), ECT switch & rear reversing mirror switch (up-down) & one blanked off in that area. If you dont have the rear spoiler you won't have the mirror switch. If it's the suspension switch it will light on the dash if you put it on - Hard will light up in Green lower middle of cluster.

On my '90 2.4 SSR Ltd, there's a factory switch in that place for the adjustable shocks - does a shock-shaped light come in the dash when you switch it on? Maybe the original switch got broken and they replaced it with that one?

lock all doors - nope found that one

half height aerial - nope aerial either up or down
rear heater fan - ???? cant find any vents let alone a rear fan - no rear heater controls obvious.

Adj Suspension switch would normaly be in the blank above the one you are asking about, the adj system is standard on SSR-G models, but very often found fitted as an option on others.
What model have you got ? Hint: put this in your profile, it will then show up on the left, helping ensure you get answers most relevent to your particular model.

Well I guess you may be on your own on this one Alex, all the popular options you seem to have correctly ruled out, so I guess you'll have to keep playing with it to try and discover what it does, or trace the wiring.
To check if you should have an adj susp switch you can check the tops of your shocks, if you find wiring there they you either have or once had the adj system. That is however only one possibility, countless others clearly remain.

Let us know if and when you discover what it is.

Don't forget to check all fuses before you play with it, incase whatever it controls is working, but the fuse is blown.
