the 316L rods will be used to stop the joints corroding - the wee bit moly in the filler wire helps to stop the edge of the weld oxidising.

Mine (a 3rd gen) just failed on exhaust centre box hole, was expected, to be fair, and a good enough excuse to get something better.

Have been quoted £360 for a full system from here (just down the road with a very good reputation)
          http://www.jacexhausts.co.uk/

but then was alerted to this on t' bay:
          http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Hil...75123877434003

£360 will get me something new with a warranty, although it won't look as good as the twin pipes, but they are mottled already by the look of it...

          Any input welcome...

Thats a decent price from the turbo itself! They would have to ensure the turbo bolts as well. For a jig fabricated off the shelve turbo pipe (in 3" mind) from an australian company the pipe alone is around £300. Plus they would need to clean your flange for a re-use.

Just be clear you are receiving what you are paying for. Different companies say cat back or downpipe back or flex back and depending on the vehicle on some this can mean the system starts from around the rear seat footwell area. In our instance it would usually be downpipe or flex pipe.

The thing with mine is that the downpipe has split along some of it's length from the back end of the turbo. Smelly fumes are coming in through the blowers! Or maybe I do need to give my flange a good wipe & clean up...
